Santa Commits $30,000 to The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley
Santa places a special emphasis on supporting and participating in the community initiatives where we do business. That’s why we didn’t hesitate to act after learning about a new opportunity to partner with a local Boys and Girls Clubs.
Earlier this month, The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley announced a new Workforce Development Initiative, which will help young men and women in Connecticut:
- Prepare for life after high school
- Become first-job ready
- Develop a plan for the future
- Build the skills that employers value most
In addition to partnering with local businesses and organizations to offer:
- Tours of participating businesses
- Skills training
- Career experiences
The Boys & Girls Club also needs funding to keep the initiative alive.
To lend a helping hand, Santa Family Fund has committed to donating $10,000, annually, for the next three years, to support the cause and help to strengthen the workforce in the community.
Santa believes that enhancing opportunities and social conditions in the community we serve is a necessary step to keep improving economic development in our area.
